Lake Powell Tour

Lake Powell

$99 Per Person

The sparkling blue waters of Lake Powell are surrounded by towering red rock formations and continue as far as the eye can see. Each year millions of visitors are drawn to the area to enjoy the unbelievable scenery.

The lake was created following the construction of Glen Canyon Dam, a decade-long project beginning in 1956, and named for Major John Wesley Powell, a civil-war veteran and explorer. A canyon tour boat cruise on our Lake Powell/Glen Canyon National Recreation Area Tour is just one of the activities you will enjoy with Kanab Tour Company.

The towering sandstone and winding slot canyons are a spectacular voyage and unforgettable experience at Lake Powell and Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. At Wahweep Lodge, you’ll have a relaxing lunch overlooking the glimmering lake and landscape. Then travel over the Colorado in the hopes of catching a glimpse of the famous, endangered California Condors!

After a short hike to Horseshoe Bend, a beautiful nearby canyon, a visit to the Glen Canyon Dam Museum is the perfect way to wrap up your day on Lake Powell! This all-inclusive National Recreation Area tour includes your transportation, entrance fees, lunch at the Wahweep lodge overlooking Lake Powell, bottled water, and you knowledgeable tour guide of course!

Optional Add-on for this tour:

In place of the Canyon Cruise experience, it is possible to experience an excursion on the Colorado River on a raft. This is not a white water experience.  It is a smooth ride, and you do not need special clothing.  This would cost an additional $30 per person.
