Two Incredible Days Exploring Zion & Bryce Canyon with Kanab Tour Company! ❤️

Our two-day adventure with Kanab Tour Company and our guide, Dan, was absolutely fantastic! If you’re visiting the national parks in Utah and Arizona, we highly recommend requesting Dan. His knowledge, easygoing personality, sense of humor, and genuine care for his guests made our experience truly unforgettable.

Day One: Zion National Park

Dan kicked off our adventure with a 6:00 a.m. pickup at the Canyons Hotel in Kanab. We were excited and ready to explore Zion National Park! There had been a rockslide on the road we would normally have taken into the park, but Dan quickly adapted our route and took us in through Springdale, Utah. We were treated to a beautiful sunrise along the way and arrived at the park before the crowds!

Dan knew the park exceptionally well and guided us through some incredible sights. We traveled to the top of the park at Stop #9, experienced the breathtaking Narrows, and then headed back down to the shuttle. From there, we rode to Stop #7 near the Zion Lodge and hiked the Lower and Middle Emerald Pools trails.

What really stood out was how attentive Dan was to our needs. He always offered a helping hand when the terrain became challenging, whether going up or down, and he was wonderful about matching my pace. He never made me feel rushed, uncomfortable, or as though I was holding us back. That kind of thoughtfulness makes such a difference when you’re exploring a national park!

By the time we returned to our hotel around 5:00 p.m., we had logged an incredible 16,000 steps! It was a full day of adventure, beautiful scenery, and wonderful memories.

Day Two: Bryce Canyon National Park

The following morning, Dan picked us up at 8:30 a.m., and we headed to Bryce Canyon National Park. What a contrast to Zion! The incredible hoodoos at Bryce were absolutely breathtaking. We had never seen anything quite like these extraordinary rock formations, and the scenery left us in awe.

Once again, Dan shared fascinating educational information and historical insights that helped us appreciate the park on a much deeper level. He also took lots of wonderful photographs of my husband and me, giving us beautiful keepsakes from our anniversary trip. We really appreciated that personal touch!

What Makes Dan So Special

Dan has a lighthearted, easygoing manner that makes spending the day with him a pleasure. He is knowledgeable, accommodating, patient, and genuinely attentive to his guests. He understood our needs, adjusted to our pace, and made sure we enjoyed every moment without feeling pressured.

Having an expert guide allowed us to experience so much more than we could have on our own. We learned about the parks, discovered incredible viewpoints, enjoyed beautiful hikes, and came away with a deeper appreciation for these remarkable landscapes.

We wholeheartedly recommend Kanab Tour Company and Dan to anyone planning to explore Zion, Bryce Canyon, or other national parks in Utah and Arizona! Whether you’re an experienced hiker or simply want to explore at a comfortable pace with someone who knows the area, Dan will make your adventure special.

We did The Wave hike on Oct 22

Nick was a great guide for our hike to The Wave even when the conditions could've been scary due to flooding. He double checked before crossing washes and was ready to pull the plug if the tour wouldn't be safe, and the company was willing to do a full refund if the hike wouldn't be possible to do safely. Shelly was a skillful driver and was sensitive to the pace we felt comfortable with. She spoke knowledgeably of geology, offered to take photos of us in picturesque places. She showed us bobcat tracks in the sand, living creatures (triops or tadpole shrimp) in the pool of water, shard of pottery, and pointed out types of vegetation.

We had the BEST experience with Kanab Tour Company! They were able to accommodate our entire extended family, 15 people, on a UTV tour to The Great Chamber. Not only was the ride itself fun, and safe, the The Great Chamber was easily a top destination from our trip. Dan was an awesome guide--knowledgeable, friendly, safe, and fun!

Additionally, on our last day in town we made the mistake of renting a UTV from another company. When we hit a rock in the path and got a flat tire, stranded in the Utah mountains, the company had no idea what to do. They ended up calling the mechanic from Kanab Tour Co., who was off duty for the day, to come and help us out. That mechanic was so helpful, kind, and most importantly, helped us get home safely!

Amazing time!!! Me and my dad did the UTV Great Chamber and Peek-a-Boo Slot Canyon ride. It was moderate on difficulty with the hiking, which was great for my dad. If you book this tour ask for Shelly. Not only is she great vibes, but she’s so knowledgeable on geology of the areas which is worth the trip in itself! Also, she takes great pictures!
