Your first view of Bryce Canyon is dramatic, as rows of pine trees veil the bright colors of the park only revealing glimpses of what is about to come. It is the uniqueness of the rocks that caused Bryce Canyon to be designated as a National Park.
The famous colorful spires, called “hoodoos,” are formed when ice and rainwater wear away the weak limestone that makes up the unique pillar-like formations. Because Bryce Canyon transcends 2000 feet (650 m) of elevation, the park exists in three distinct climatic zones: Spruce/Fir Forest, Ponderosa Pine Forest, and Pinyon Pine/Juniper Forest. This diversity of habitat provides for a variety of wildlife.
At Bryce Canyon, you can enjoy over 100 species of birds, dozens of mammals, and more than a thousand plant species. For our Bryce Canyon National Park tours, Kanab Tour Company takes you on a scenic drive with several short hikes to Bryce Canyon’s most famous viewpoints, including: Sunrise, Sunset, Natural Bridge, and Inspiration Points. Your Bryce Canyon vacation continues with a lunch buffet at the famous Ruby’s Inn–a great place to fill your belly and grab some memorabilia.
In the afternoon, we take you on an ATV ride to Peek-A-Boo Slot Canyon on the way back to Kanab. This is a great way to wrap up the day.
A favorite experience among our guests, Bryce Canyon tours provide exclusive access with smaller groups to sites that few others get to see. This National Park day tour includes transportation, park entrance fee, lunch at Ruby's Inn, bottled water, and your tour guide of course!
